Have any of you had any experience using an ear training app like Quiztones or EarMaster? Has it helped you as a producer? Edit: got a lot of great answers here thanks! For those of you who haven’t heard too much about ear training, the goal of these apps is not to obtain perfect pitch (although it is possible). Izotope Ear Training So I stumbled upon two websites which offer exercises designed to train your ears to recognise particularly EQ and Compression. Not sure how useful it is for you guys but as someone who mixes all their own music I am finding it really helpful. Finally, we’ve also got some sneaky mouth sounds that can be distracting. Have a listen to this section.

To really zero in on those mouth sounds, we can use the output clicks only function in the new Mouth De-Click module.
